Spain joined in 1994 and Villena in 1996 with the celebration of the exhibition “The Bronze age the first Gold Age of Europe”.
The Cabezo Redondo was one of the sites chosen in the valencian territory. Since then every year an “Open Doors Day” is undertaken during the archaeological excavations carried out by the Alicante University.
The Archaeological Museum José María Soler collaborates from the beginning in the organization and development of this event by guided visits in the museum and didact workshops about the Bronze Age way of life.
